uploaded.to HTTP status code 416 on resumption of download

FRD version 0.86u1 , uploaded.to plugin version 2.0.10

Problem: often during downloads of large files connection gets disrupted; a 1GB file takes roughly 6+ hours to completely download, so in theory resumption is a nice feature to have instead of starting new.
If I try to resume a download UI says "Error starting download".
Logfile says:Oct 4, 2012 1:33:47 PM cz.vity.freerapid.plugins.webclient.DownloadClient makeRequestFile
WARNING: Loading file failed - invalid HTTP return status code: 416

Seems like they are doing shenanigans. RapidShare used to do this as well. The server claims to support resume, which FRD happily forwards to the user and enables the Pause button, but when it's time to actually resume, the server refuses.

We can force disable resume in the plugin. Can you confirm that the same issue occurs with all Uploaded.net files?

if you meant to write uploaded.to instead of uploaded.net, then

yep. happens since quite some time. I didn't use uploaded.to much before, but lately often I am offered no other choice.

The site was renamed to Uploaded.net some time ago, but the name of the plugin cannot be changed due to technical limitations.

Plugin v2.0.11 doesn't allow resume.
