Hulu plugin updated today - now broken
February 12, 2014 07:59PM
My hulu plugin was working fine yesterday. Today, I allowed an update to be installed. Now I get "No plugin can be associated with this URL." Valid URLs such as [www.hulu.com] are giving me this error. Yes, I am using Java 7. I tried deleting hulu.frp and re-downloading it, but it is still broken. FRD allows me to add Hulu URLs, so it is recognizing the URLs at the time of adding, but I get the error when I try to start the download.

The Hulu plugin is not loading properly for some reason. Could you also try redownloading the "geoip.frd" and "tor.frd" plugins?

Thanks, that fixed it! I never had the geoip or tor plugins before. I guess the latest hulu plugin is now dependent upon these other 2 plugins.

How and where do I do this? I see "check for new plugins" and "check for new versions", but I don't see anything on the site for redownloading plugins or in the program.

Maybe I missed it.

Anyways, I mentioned in the other Hulu thread that I'm getting "ERROR - no streams found" when I try to download from Hulu. I only have Java 7 update 51 installed on my Windows 7 computer, or at least that's the only thing showing up in "Uninstall a Program" and the 32-bit Java Control Panel. I'm using FRD 0.9u3.

Please try Hulu plugin v1.4.2.

I notice that Hulu manages to detect Tor proxy at higher rate than 2-3 weeks ago.

Working fine for me. Please provide sample link(s) and attach app.log, preferably in debug mode. To enable debug mode, see "Troubleshooting" section of this page.

You got that message because you're not running it from FRD installation's directory path. Point directory to FRD installation directory using "cd" command or you can run the command with full path (ex: C:\FRD\frd.exe --debug). Alternatively: edit "startup.properties" file in your FRD installation folder, find "# --debug", remove the "#" sign, then save the file.

But nevermind the debug mode. What we really need is the sample link.
