It seems the trick doesn't work anymore. I have no idea to solve this problem at this moment, well, without implementing YT account. Maybe other plugin devs/anyone can help me to solve this problem?

I googled "youtube age verification" and the second result was a video that suggested changing [www.youtube.com] to [www.youtube.com] to bypass the restrictions. Seems to work.

I think in the long run, it must use personal info to login.
But if thats too much a hassle for now..

How about letting user manually enter the cookie(s) required,
(in the UT plugin-options)

I use firefox, I can look up the cookies easily, I can then
copy&paste to FRD.

It sucks if we can't find a solution to this..(UT is just too popular)

Okay, age verification should work again in plugin v2.6.0. If something goes wrong, just blame ntoskrnl for the hint

It works now thanks, but it can easily be patched by youtube,
so please consider my suggestions above, let users enter
their browers cookies(s) (and useragent if nes.)
that should fool youtube for good..

The video I saw was from 2013, so this has already worked for more than a year. We'll see how long it lasts.

I have tried this tweak with this:

[www.youtube.com]

making it:

[www.youtube.com]

It will still not play nor download, though there is a message saying it will only work on YouTube.

Any chance of a fix to this problem yet?

The downside of using embedded video trick is that not all videos can be embedded, thus can't be downloaded. I currently have no plan to implement youtube login.
