... Yes, STV use RTMPE on this, to protect their contect
I don't think the youtube FRD plugin supports RTMPE protocol
to begin with...
RTMPE in itself is not a problem, since rtmpdump code
already supports it; however, Youtube also enforce Handshake 10
along with it, which is not supported in rtmpdump v2.4 code.

If by any chance you are in possession of the outlawed
rtmpdump v2.5 (with Handshake 10 support), it is still
not capable to download, because, in addition to
Handshake 10, Youtube enforce SWF Verification Type 2,
which has never been cracked!
You can inspect the above in attached RTMPdumpHelper
log, first with rtmpdump 2.4 and then with 2.5.

Screen capture may be your only option
(or try some other windows payware apps,
notably GetFLV - Tubedigger used to support
Youtube RTMPE in the past, but I recall RTMPE was
dropped at some point, due to "cease and desist"
actions by Hulu and others...).

YouTube plugin used to support RTMP/RTMPE, but we removed the support long time ago, with the same reason you mentioned (Handshake 10+SWF verification type2).

Hm,you said that it has been never cracked,but also you said GetFLV downloaded it (i know i tested it).

They are using code from Flash Player. rtmpdump v2.5 also works this way, although it doesn't support SWF verification type 2, only handshake type 10.
