Unable to run frd under ESET SMart Security

Hi,
Excellent program which I've been using for just over a month with out any issues under Zone Alarm and NOD32 on Win XP.
I have just installed ESET Smart Security and can't get frd.exe to work. I've set up the rules to allow TCP & UDP in both directions, but when I watch it start up with Process Explorer I see it briefly in the list and then it disappears.

It works without ESET Smart Security running.
