You have probably too many links in your queue.

that's right, about 300 currently, but they are paused and i queue them manually since i'm in free mode ; but it occurred that i had 900 that were queued and no crashes at all earlier this year; That's one advantage with FRD, when you come across something on the interwebs, you paste the link in FRD and u don't have to remember anything or bookmark hundreds of pages you'll have to visit back. Is there a way to still do that and avoid crashes ?

You may want to try to increase max heap size : [wordrider.net]

hi dudes.
when i wanna edit frd.bat it can't be done : msg error telling me javaw.exe can't be found.
might be the heart of the problem, i've always had problem with java updates, java this can't be found java that may be corrupt...boring! i already tried complete removal of it from my pc and then re install anew, the same glitch occurs again at the first automatic update...
thx anyway.

Hi turlusiphon,

I think your problem is with, "There is NOT Enough Space for 'Name' column" in FRD.

I got "Fatal Error" several times this week also when my FRD window became to half size somehow (then 'Name' column became short).

I followed tong2shot's advice as shown in 2nd page and now the problem is solved.

Many Many Thanks to tong2shot.
I thank 'Vity & ntoskrnl' also for their valuable advices.

Posted by 'tong2shot':

I can reproduce this issue in Ubuntu 12.04 and XP SP3, if there is not enough space for 'Name' column.

Solution :
- backup frd.odb.
- delete frd.odb.
- start FRD.
- adjust 'Name' column width, give it more space.
- exit FRD.
- delete frd.odb.
- restore your original frd.odb (from step #1).

hello rose!
thank u for your feedback! (thank u of course vity, ntoskrnl & tong2shotwinking smileybut you know...)
So if i get it right the problem would be because of the display of the FRD window>the "name" column is not stretched enough to let the "titles/file names" appear properly>java machine is unhappy>freezes&crashes ?!
Java's a touchy machine! BTW i don't know if it's supposed to work that way but FRD never kept my column settings from one start to another, whatever column width i choose, after restart it's always set back to what it was in the first place...but nevermind except if that's the reason for those crashes. So if the .odb thing may be the cure tell me more cause i didn't find any .odb in my FRD directory.
hasta luego amiga

I don't think your problem is related to column width...

Hi turlusiphon,

The path for 'frd.odb' is,
C:\Documents and Settings\(Your Name)\Application Data\VitySoft\FRD
There you can see 'frd.odb'.
I don't know, how to edit it.

(To see 'Application Data', you have to 'Show hidden files and folders'.
For doing that, in Windows Explorer goto,
Tool > Folder Options > View > Select "Show hidden files and folders" and click 'OK' at bottom)

rose27, your issue is a Java bug (which is fixed in the latest version of Java). turlusiphon has a different issue. The error message is not the same.

Have you tried removing all versions of Java and then reinstalling the latest version? You said you've had problems with the automatic update. If Java is correctly installed, there should be no "javaw.exe can't be found" error.
