how can i use freerapid behind a vpn

Dear administrator,
I am now using a vpn (nordVPN) and i would like to know if once i am connected to the vpn and then launch
freerapid if all my download will be anonymized? is there a specific setting to configure? how can i be sure that all downloading will pass through the vpn secure access?

It depends on the VPN configurations. Assuming the VPN system works on operating system level, and it's configured to tunnel all traffic, not just specific net applications/destinations, nor like web browser-based VPN (like opera built-in VPN, zenmate, hola, etc). Then just like other net applications (web browser, torrent client, rss reader, etc) behind VPN, FRD download traffic will be anonymized. There is no specific setting to configure.

About the VPN configurations (whether it tunnels DNS traffic, for example), you probably better ask it in the VPN service support forum.

You can check the traffic with wireshark, just google "wireshark VPN".

what is the differences between using proxy server or vpn? is that essentially the same? cover your ip?
