It seems like the log file is only generated if there is a log message that would go there. So for non-debug, it is only generated if there's a warning or error. Is this how it works for you?
Also, I noticed that Ant 1.9 which is bundled with IntelliJ does not work properly on Java 9 (see objectDbEnhance task). So you must use external Ant 1.10 to build FRD.

I've looked at Spotify in the past. It's really difficult, and additionally the songs are split into 5 second pieces which would need to be joined together. They are also low quality.
I think there are other programs that can download songs if you have a Spotify Premium account.

Hmm, I can't reproduce any problem with the add new links dialog on another monitor. It's a modal dialog so the main window will be frozen while the add links dialog is open. But I can activate the add links dialog just fine if I click the FRD icon on the taskbar.

It seems that these issues are separate problems with each plugin. It seems that these problems just happened to occur at the same time. Other people have also reported the same error with the YouTube plugin. Unfortunately you'll have to wait until we fix the plugins.

The current version of FRD does not work on Java 9. This will be fixed in the next version. In the meantime, you'll have to use Java 8.

You are not using Java 8, you are using Java 6. Waiting for a new version of Java 8 won't help unfortunately.

Maybe we could store the relevant cookies (on disk if necessary) so we don't need to generate a new slot every time?

I just tested Rapidgator premium with Java 8u131 and it works fine for me. It chooses an ECDHE cipher suite so it doesn't matter that it doesn't support 4096-bit DHE. Even Java 7 supports ECDHE and should work. This, and the error message you're getting, suggests to me that you're running Java 6 for some reason.

I added a couple methods to the plugin api. I wonder if we should replace the dialog lock object with a fair lock based system so that dialogs are always displayed in the correct order?

I was thinking Java 7, as it has some useful features like try-with-resources and still works on Windows XP. Does Java 8 have many features that are useful to us?
Maybe we should update all LAFs? Are there any more modern LAFs available, or is it all just JavaFX nowadays?
The resource loading problem probably has something to do with tor/geoip because I was working on those plugins at the

Yes, I actually fixed the illegal access thing already – Java 9 has unlimited cryptography by default.
edit: It seems that there are other locations where this occurs (e.g. in JTattoo LAF). Those could be more problematic.

I added the code in rev 4827 to fix some resource loading issue apparently... I wish I could remember what issue so I could test it.

Yeah, it seems to work now. Maybe you can do more testing to make sure there are no issues. The code which I removed was copied from the superclass, so it must have been there for some reason, but it seems to work without it.

I think I fixed the JPF problem. I'm not exactly sure why that piece of code was there, but now I don't see any issues on either Java 8 or 9.

Re: JAXB, the correct solution is probably to include the JAXB JAR with FRD, because it will be removed from JRE in a future release.
Where do we use JAXB?
It seems like they have also fixed this bug which I reported back in 2014:

Okay, it seems that even Java 8 does not support 4096-bit DHE. Java 9 will fix this issue, but it it not released yet.
However, Java 8 should support up to 2048-bit DHE and the error message should indicate that. Are you absolutely sure you don't have other older versions of Java installed? Otherwise it might choose the wrong version.

RapidGator does support 128-bit ciphers so it should work even without the unlimited policy files.
Are you on Java 6 by any chance?
Are you on Mac (which might use the Apple Java 6 even if you have Oracle Java 8 installed)?
Could you post the log file?

Yeah, Uploaded has probably changed their page layout and the plugin hasn't been updated to reflect that. If you post an example link, we could take a look sometime.

You can transfer the configuration folder. It's in %appdata%\VitySoft\FRD and you can also find it with Help > Browse to log file and then going to the parent folder.

You also need to copy the configuration folder. You can find it with Help > Browse to log file. (The path is %AppData%\VitySoft\FRD)

If you have a high DPI monitor, you might notice that FRD does not support high DPI and the UI will be tiny. This is a known issue with Swing (the GUI library we use) and cannot be fixed.
