New plugin for youtube

The new Youtube plugin is a great thing.

The plugin was working very good for a couple of hours,
then it stopped working and haven done since.

Take this link for example:
[www.youtube.com]
it works if you download it manually or with for example with a plugin like Downloadhelper in Firefox, but its not possible to download with freerapiddownloader anymore.

Is Youtube somehow banning some IPs in combination with your programs behavior(and not banning them when using Downloadhelper).

We found the problem. The plugin tries to save a file with '/' in the name...
We are working on it...

In FRD 0.82 you can set file type to download (in plugin settings).

Thats a nice feauture.
Does this mean it's possible to convert from FLV to other, MPEG, AVI and similar formats when file is downloaded, thats good then, but will the quality suffer much from this?

We don't plan such feature (auto conversion to other format). There are plenty of software doing this, see eg. this tutorial:

You can also use some mplayer based player ([smplayer.sf.net]) to play both avi and flv.
I think the conversion is always lossy.

There is no conversion. All these formats are downloaded directly from YouTube.

Thanks for your answer i get it youtube lets you download the video in several different quality's, nice that you added it to.
