If you're still on Windows XP SP3, make sure you have the latest JRE installed;
8u131 will nag you about an unsupported OS, but will install.
More and more hosts are deprecating older Secure Hash Algorithms (SHA) that are now
considered non-safe and move to newer versions that, unfortunately, are no longer
supported by XP. The "connection refused" error you posted may be a TLS handshake
error on the 1fichier server.
On their site, 1fichier provide an option to download without SSL encryption;
so you may try that with FRD, i.e. feed the URL like that:
http://1fichier.com/?k35ghnbmgx
