Memory usage

Hello,
I assume there is an major flaw with memory usage in FRD.

Why ?
I have nearly 1,000 downloads in the list. Most of them are completed, others paused or broken links. The reason for not cleaning the list - to avoid multiple downloads from same source.
The memory usage is 190MB. This is with one active download.

My guess would be that it creates some huge in-memory object for each download in the list, hence the ridiculous memory usage.

You are correct, 1000 GUI table items take up some memory. But FRD is not really designed to handle more than 100 downloads in the list.

Then what about a feature that would allow to keep history -- but not in the main downloads list. That is, history would only consist of download URL's, and match against it then adding new downloads. I figure simple list of few thousand strings shouldn't be memory-heavy -- 10,000 item list would take up around 800,000 bytes, which is less than 1 MB.

FRD does keep a history already. (Press Ctrl+H.) New links are not checked against links in the history though.
