Agrr!! after 5hours, cant open WR 0.8alpha verson

I have loads of files on word, and other folders with diagrames i want to install on the newly acquired TI-89 titanium.
Word has it WordRider is my 'messiah!'
Here is the update on my new safari...
5 hours on....

after extracting the zip files..and updating Java 1.6_02, i still cannot open the launcher with java (Web start Launcher) !! from the ''wordrider.etc'' file!
all i'm getting is, Error could not parse launch file. Error at line 0.

prior to all of this i have the jtattoo md5sums-1.2 preos-1.0.4, and all that comes with it.
Excuse my language, due to frustrations...im i missing out something...??Agrrr
please help me with downloading procedure..one by one...
I am a dummy, why did it take me this long to admit it?

I am not sure if I understand you well. You have already downloaded WordRider 0.8 version (why do you write 0.8alpha in the subject?) and installed Java 1.6_02.
Then simply run wordrider.exe - it will find java.exe and run WordRider.jar. That's all.

Vity..i found out the reason behind my problem..i was doing this downloading stuff at my working place, local adm. has limited access to some prog..ie java, flash etc.
well, back on the topic, i have now successfully downloaded WR 0.8 on my pc, at the same time i have read through some of the discussions here. (it is a whole new world to me, and of course, this is work that has taken you many ''moons'' to reach where you are.
In the 3 days i have found out that..
1. i download WR 0.8 on my Pc (not on TI!!)
2. i download preos 1.0.4 on my pc (not on TI!!)
3. i connect the TI-89 tittanium on my pc (prior to this i have alredy installed TI connect)
4. i follow the flash tutorials and i act accordingly.

is that the right procedure, sir?
another one is, can i mark , copy and paste from say, scientific notebook, mathtype, etc? and it will show on TI..?

This is wrong. PreOS is installed on TI as you can see in flash tutorial.
