Download list emptied
November 02, 2012 07:06AM
Hi,
I was using version 0.86u1 and had some 12 downloads in the waiting list. Then I closed version 0.86u1 and opened version 0.9 and all the list was gone, empty. Went back to 0.86u1 , list still empty.
Is there a way to retrieve it ?

The download list format changed from 0.86u1 to 0.9. The new version should automatically import your the old file. Please post app.log after starting up 0.9 and failing to import the downloads (Help > View log file).

The imported old file is backed up as "filesList.xml.imported" in FRD's configuration directory. Rename it to "filesList.xml".

I can't find any file named "filesList.xml.imported" in the FreeRapid direcory. For that matter, I don't see any configuration directory either.

Then uninstall it and everything will be fine.

I want to make clear the "uninstall it" issue. There is no installing involved here, I just unzipped the FreeRapid-0.9 file into a directory and began using FRD. By "uninstall" do you mean erase the FreeRapid-0.9 direcory ?

He means the ESET antivirus. Others are having very similar issues with that program.

Sorry, I like that antivirus and I want to keep on using it. Does this mean I can't use FRD any more?
