Frd 9 u2 - Cannot request address: connect on windows 8
April 17, 2013 04:07PM
Since i moved my system to windows 8 i can´t use the FRD anymore e get the folowing error
"Cannot request address: connect" (when doing check plugin or check version from the program)
If i add some links to the program is the the same thing
"Erro - connect address is invalid on local machine - or port is not valid on remote machine "

I use windows 8
My Antivirus is Kaspersky Internet Security 2013
I have the latest Java 32bits and 64bits installed

Another thing for my java aplliacations to work (example: netbeans) i need to add an exclusion to my antivirus for that program and for the exe of java e have done this for java 32 and 64.
And another thing e have tried to connect without the antivirus being used, only the firewall from windows and still i can´t connect thought FRD.

It's out of FRD's scope.
Try this:

or this

Then try to uninstall the antivirus.

I think our EXE launcher copies javaw.exe to a temporary file. You could try using the frd.bat launcher instead, as it uses javaw.exe.

Done, working
The solution above is close enough but missing files

All java executables must have exceptions

Here is the solution

"Open the Antivirus screen presentation."

1) Click configurations;
2) Click the option control applications;
3) click applications;
4) Check the folder with the name: ORACLE AMERICA) - (The Java ™ should be marked as trusted)
5) To put as reliable click each item Java ™ within this folder with the right button, application rules
6) Open the exclusions tab and tick all 5 options that appear in the empty checkbox.

To finish and save the configurations click (OK).
