FRD 0.86 "progress tab black bg barely readable" / full screen hide taskbar

FRD 0.86

I noticed two new things that I don't like at all with the latest version:

- The progress tab with black background barely readable

- The software goes sometimes full screen for some reason and hide the taskbar.

Do you mind to fix it ASAP?

The issues you describe are caused by the Look and Feel you're using. You can try other LaFs in Options > Preferences > User Interface.

It still goes auto full screen on load and hide the taskbar, I don't see any box to tick to turn it on/off in preferences.

It's a bug in the Look and Feel you're using. LaFs are not programmed by us.

Which LaF are you using?

I have the same problem, and it shows up in both the default "Aero" and "Luna". It does NOT show up when I launch the old 0.85u1 version.

Can you suggest a few looks & feels that do show up more easily then, so I don't have to keep changing it and restarting while I guess which one will work?

Also, the comment about the "look and feel" not being your fault seems a bit odd, I'm afraid I can't figure out how to phrase this diplomatically, so I'm going to be blunt.
if it worked in a previous version but is now showing up wrong, doesn't that mean that something in your program is obviously using the data in the "look and feel" differently than in the previous version, making it a bug in your program rather than the "look and feel"? Especially if only version 0.86 is the only program that uses them that is affected?

Forgive my ignorance, I switched my focus from programming to networking and technical support back when I was in community college around in '97-99. I'm not up on the programming mechanics behind these "look and feel" components.

I don't see any problems with these themes. Can you provide a screenshot?

The second issue mentioned in the first post was fixed for the next version of FRD (by updating the JTattoo look and feel library).

I've been having stability issues ever since upgrading. It may be related to that. I'm going to start a separate post detailing all the things I've observed.
