One can use the freeware "FLV Extract" (courtesy of Moitah)

to demux losslessly (= extract) the audio mp3 stream from

I used RTMPDumpHelper 1.21 & Firefox ESR 24.8.0. When I went to the sample URL,
I first made sure that "Best (128kbps) Music Quality" was ticked and started playback of the first song,
"Teri Duniya Se Door (Revival)"; rtmpdump downloaded this (via rtmpe protocol) as a file named "-5ccdQc3.flv"

So, there is NOTHING WRONG with the saavn plugin - the highest quality offered for
this specific album is just 64 kbps (so the "Best" setting in the browser is in reality
the same as the "Good" one...:? )

Plugin v1.1.3 fixed file extension, nothing more, nothing less.
Plugin v1.1.2 removed flv2mp3 support.

There is no quality option in the decrypted player content. But if I read the SWF correctly, then the plugin should have gotten 128 Kbps. Maybe 64 Kbps is the fallback? Also when I hear the songs (from the provided sample album) in browser, there is no (significant) quality difference between 128Kbps and 64 Kbps. Maybe I should have my ears checked.. :-)

I grabbed tracks from this album [www.saavn.com]
But they turned out to be 64 kbps, while browser can play them @ 128 kbps.
Did you change something? And can the plugin be made to get 128 kbps only?

Thanks for the report. I forgot to change it back to flv when conversion to mp3 support was dropped. Fixed in plugin v1.1.3.

This is regarding saavn plugin. The files downloaded are actually flv instead of mp3 that FRD downloads.
You may check it with app called Mediainfo. Mpc has problem seeking these wrong mp3's. Please fix it so that extension is flv.
