Yes, sadly you are both right! :-(

The ITV people have shoved down our throats
their new "itv PLAYER BETA" as the default
on-demand/live player, inspite being still clearly
marked as beta... :X
This "hub" player uses new URL patterns for the shows,
plus it reverts back to plain HTTP (previous version was
using HTTPS). As an immediate result, it broke all
ITVplayer download software (FRD included... :-().

I used FRD's download history to retrieve the "old style" URLs,
e.g. "The Jonathan Ross Show - S09E04" broadcast on
201511072210Z had on the previous ITVplayer the following URL:

https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/the-jonathan-ross-show/series-9/episode-4

but now it appears on the BETA player as:

http://www.itv.com/hub/the-jonathan-ross-show/2a1166a0101

Unfortunately, the "old" template URLs no longer work with itv.frp v1.2.2 -
I thought I could manipulate the new URL for "The Jonathan Ross Show - S09E05":

http://www.itv.com/hub/the-jonathan-ross-show/2a1166a0102

and turn it into the old style:

https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/the-jonathan-ross-show/series-9/episode-5

but sadly this yields the "ERROR: No string between ' ' and ' ' was found"

It appears the "old" URLs simply redirect to the new ones,
hence FRD chokes...

After searching the net, I found a bit of Perl code
the maintainer of get-flash-videos' itv.pm plugin pushed
yesterday on GitHub:

Maybe that could prove helpful to our own
coding star, tong2shot, for fixing the broken
itv.frp plugin... B)
And may I be cheeky to also ask for quality (bitrate) selection
in the hopefully fixed version :-P ?

neither can I download from Itv.
It seemed that the itv player has updated its pages.

has anyone notice that freerapid does not download itv player links any more it did about a week ago
but for some reason it has changed i cant download from itv player with free rapid on the site it says beta and also when you copy a link from itv player to freerapid in the link it says hub when i download itv player links before and there's not been any problem downloading itv player links but now there was the word hub in the link everytime i try to copy the link to free rapid so can there please be a plugin for this for free rapid
