Replace Flash tutorial videos (no replies)

Vity <s>and the development wiki</s> (I crudely edited that page) still refer to tutorial videos in an obsolete format relying on a Flash player, which is blocked by modern systems. So I got a Windows XP virtual machine with period-appropriate versions of Firefox and Adobe Flash Player and made a screen recording of these videos.

Here is a ZIP with them in WebM format! (Note that this link will not live forever! See last paragraph)

Recommended using the attached HTML file to view them at native resolution. You may need to disable scaling (or undo it by reciprocally zooming your browser, for example global UI scaling 125% means you should set browser zoom to 100/1.25=80%).
Alternatively, open the videos in VLC and disable Video > Always fit window.

To Vity: please rehost these files on your server so that they can be viewed on demand, and set up a webpage like the included one that would allow their easy viewing at native resolution.

Hi Vity,

I was wondering if we can help you developing FRD to speed up the pace.
I am a heavy user and a Java developer and would love to help in the beta version.
I am sure there are others as well. So, what do you think?

Best regards,

Missing app log file (1 reply)

@Ntoskrnl, @Tong2Show @Birchie @....

I am experimenting with a bundling JRE. I created a new frd_jre.exe via Laucnh4J - it works fine (it's using bundled JRE in folder jre if present), but I noticed one issue. App.log file stopped to be generated.
Any idea why this can happen? I don't see a reason why it should change log level or something.

Note1: It looks like a problem of FRD 1.0 in general. No matter JRE or frd.exe.
Note2: It looks like it's necessary to enable debug mode ... I will enable it by default for everyone.
