If you're on linux, you can edit frd.sh instead. The file is a bit more complicated, but there are two lines with "-Xmx". Edit both of those.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - Plugins
If you restart FRD, a new empty log file should be created. If the file is still large, try deleting all files in the log directory. Then start FRD and try checking for plugin updates again, and the log file should only contain messages from that operation.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General

Try deleting the whole FRD folder. This will reset the program to the state which it is in when you first install it.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General
I'm sorry, but I'm not very familiar with OS X. Perhaps the folder is hidden and doesn't show up in Finder. In that case you might have to use the terminal. Also double check that you replaced "username" with your account's name (which may or may not be what you see when logging in). edit: You should get to the correct Application Support folder if you do Go > Go to Folder and type in ~/Libby ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General
It seems that the database has been corrupted for some reason. It contains the download list and history and some settings. If you're okay with deleting all of that, you can delete the database file to start fresh. I'm not sure how you could salvage the contents of the database. Perhaps you can still right click the links in the program and copy the URLs? I'm not sure where the database is locby ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General

The AppData folder also stores program settings and the download list and history. There is also a log file, which may contain information about the problem.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General
This seems like a working directory problem. You could try setting the "Start in" field in Task Scheduler to the directory where frd.exe is. You can reproduce the original error by enabling Options > Preferences > General tab > Prevent standby while downloading. This way the problem is easier to reproduce.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General

Happy new year! Yes, that is definitely possible – Java 7 uses a very different javascript engine (Rhino) than Java 8 (Nashorn).by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - Plugins
Alright, I debugged this. Openload has a complicated piece of obfuscated javascript which the plugin needs to execute to fetch the download link. The problem is that the piece is so complicated that the default stack size in 32-bit Java isn't big enough. 64-bit Java uses a larger stack size by default, so it works fine there. You can work around this by using a larger stack size. Edit frd.batby ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - Plugins
freerapid.cz seems to show the wordrider.net page – is this correct?by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General
Yes, this is a JRE issue. It's probably a bug in Nashorn (the JavaScript engine in Java 8+). Which Java version are you running? Make sure it's the latest stable version, it might have the bug fixed. If you're running an unstable version, it could be a new bug and we might be able to report it.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - Plugins

FRD works fine with OpenJDK 7 and later. OpenJDK 6 is problematic, because it's a bit too different from Oracle Java 6. Java 6 is outdated anyway so you shouldn't be using that. OpenJDK 7 is quite similar to Oracle Java 7, and OpenJDK 8 is pretty much exactly the same as Oracle Java 8, so FRD works with all of those.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General

Java itself does not use the registry or spill into any configuration directories (such as AppData) – the only registry entries written during setup are for file associations and the browser plugin, both of which are unnecessary for FRD. If you install the JRE, copy the installed files from Program Files somewhere else, and then uninstall the JRE again, you can use Java without having it "instaby ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - Plugins

This is very nice. I just had a crazy idea, and I have no idea if it would work, but JavaFX has a feature called WebView, which is basically supposed to be a fully fledged WebKit browser. I have no idea how ReCaptcha detects bots, but WebView/JavaFX has the advantage that it's included in Java 7 and later, so no need for any extra programs or libraries.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - Plugins
Hmm, I can't think of any obvious cause for this. You could try deleting the configuration directory (C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\VitySoft\FRD). Backup it first, for example by renaming it. You will lose all settings, links and history. Or maybe somebody else has an idea.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General
FRD also supports a portable feature where everything will be stored in the installation directory in a subfolder. Uncomment (remove the #) the line that says "#--portable" in startup.properties. You'll then have to copy the configuration files to the new configuration directory if you want to keep them.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - General
FRD uses the download target folder while downloading. It doesn't save downloaded data anywhere else as far as I know.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - Features
No. The problem is that Google's whole business model is based on detecting legitimate ad views. Now they're applying the same algorithm to ReCaptcha. It's not worth even considering trying to trick it.by ntoskrnl - FreeRapid Downloader - Plugins
