This is definitely NOT the case.
This is still AAC LC @128kbpsABR, SR=44.1kHz, ac=2 (stereo)
MediaInfo would have shown it if it was otherwise -
I have several files with AC3 encoding (AVI, MP4 but mainly MKV)
and MediaInfo always

Hello
Just downloaded and unrared -
your file DOES HAVE an audio stream
inside the MP4 container!
I am on Windows Vista SP2 x86 and
by probing your file with MediaInfo
you can see for yourself in the attached log.

I echo pozoun's comments
I tried it on my 45min non-geoblocked

One oddity with this particular video,
both on the youtube on-line player
or when playing back the downloaded
clip (with FRD - or other downloader)
in a software player is that it appears
THERE'S (practically) ONLY SOUND
ON THE RIGHT AUDIO CHANNEL.

@pozoun (Please READ ALL THE POST !)
It's very hard to make geo-blocked iprima.cz content play from outside the Czech Republic
I have tried many Czech HTTP proxies (from Free CZ proxy list)
both in a browser & in FRD itself, all I can get is a small FLV file (video message)
that informs me "content is unavailable due to rights restrictions"...

What I meant there was "other YT downloaders"
in the form of Firefox addons - not a reference to FRD.

@honey_ami
I, too, agree with you that FRD shouldn't be turned into an all-in-one media suite;
after all, it's a mere downloader...
However, among the hundreds of plugins it supports, a great bunch of them generate
media (video/audio) files, which makes the ffmpeg consideration all the more valid...
(i.e. not just for use with the youtube plugin to address the WebM files...).

Hello all
Are you familiar with the
"YouTube Video and Audio Downloader"
Firefox addon?
It is one of the best in its category and can even fetch those elusive VEVO
vids other YT downloaders can't.
It's written in Javascript and has muxing/transcoding support via FFmpeg,
which is not bundled, but the user can declare its path to the addon via a

FWIW, sometime in mid-March the Level3 HD CDN
got fixed ; this is the CDN that works with UK HTTP proxy
or the Tor plugin (with known... problems, as far as the
latter is concerned...).
Try a show available in HD by selecting "720p", "Level 3"
& "Enable Tor"

Hi
Just try one of those:

URL sniffing got me the following URL:

"manifest=f4m" tells me they are using AdobeHDS streaming method (over HTTP); 99.9% it is encrypted

Sadly, video content is geo-restricted to US IPs...
Are the CDN HLS servers geo-locked themselves

Thank you for fixing the calamitous rtmp plugin v2.3.3
I was about to go mad, as all of my yesterday's BBC downloads

I wouldn't push the alert button just yet, but there certainly is something going wrong with the HD streams
But first, the "Tor plugin" issue is a separate thing from the "truncated downloads" problem;
once the Tor plugin effectuates connection with the geo-filtered BBC servers (these are "playlist" servers that FRD
must connect to in order to gather data for the available streams), then

This could well be a cock-up on the Beeb's side,
or a fault of the bbc plugin, that fails to parse correctly
the metadata for the two DIFFERENT video streams;
