Unfortunately I didn't use these tools for ages. Try to find a forum related to this tools, but it's possible it's their limit from some reason.

Hi uniquekaiser,
>> Hi Vity, since you have descover how to use them (i guess, since you have ti-connect support) i would like to know if you could tell me how does it work.
It's very simple. Just call "C:\Program Files\TI Education\TI Connect\TISendTo.exe" with parameters where 1 parameter is a path to file you want to send to calculator. See src\net\wordrider\core\actions\SendToCalcAct

C++ programs don't need .framework, because they use integrated Windows API, but C# programs do.
Although you can use C++, use C# because C# language is more modern (it's a "copy" of Java - it's very similar).Windows Vista will have .net framework integrated.

I wouldn't call it as a limitation. JFrame and JPanel are main container

There is only one. 'wordrider.jar' is same for every distribution.
Just MacOs distribution does not contain Kunsttoff L&F because of problem with loading PNG files. Linux distribution contains launch.sh and Windows distribution contains wordrider.exe.

All SWING applications have similar structure and WordRider's structure is too simple to make such things.
Anyway, UML diagrams can be easily generated in any design editor from sources.
I didn't use any framework. I created it based on my experience and articles I read.
Framework usually means slower application. I wanted to avoid this in WordRider. On the other hand frameworks are good for

I know all Java IDEs...
Jbuilder's architecture is old and it's without useful features.
For comfortable using Eclipse you will have to install tons of plugins...
I would recommend you Netbeans 5.5 (they "stoled" most of features from the IntelliJ IDEA).

I hope that you were convinced by WordRider .

That's a difficult question. Java is easy language to learn, but you have to know some basics of object oriented programmin

Hi Vity,
I may be interested to learn about Java programming.
For some one who has a basic knowledge of C programming, how long would it take to get start with Java, giving I won't work more than two hours a day ?
Which book did you use to learn Java ?
Which IDE or tool do you use ?
Thanks.
Jim.

>>Why is Texas not able to do this job? I was searching really long. And the Windows 3.1 Graph Link tool is a horror and do not work with the USB cable.
The Texas instruments is a hardware company and they simply save costs .
The TI Graph Link is very old, same as TI89. That's why they created TI Connect.

Hi.
Thank you for your nice words . I think the same about Java language too.
The program you are looking for is TI-Edit.
Unfortunately the application is not finished yet and it has a limited support of functions (same as WordRider ). On the other hand it's much better than TI-Graph Link.
There is nothing written for Eclipse (at least what I know). Don't you start to create something?

As a part of my school project I created a new application - a board game draughts (also known as checkers or dames).
It uses international rules and you can play against computer (AI).
It also contains
- other tools for an analyse of a position (editor, advanced moves history)
- support for PDN (Portable Draughts Notation)
- support for skins and Look&Feels.
- other misc functions
