Please do this request!
i need a plugin which doesn't have tunlr config inside in it [without in-built]

i have to check speed by adding tunlr into my router settings then checking with a normal plugin!

i mean that this plugin should only support proxies!

1) Tunlr doesn't affect download speeds.
2) Using Tunlr for general browsing will slow down your browsing a lot as described here: [tunlr.net]
3) The plugin automatically doesn't use Tunlr if a proxy is configured.

I was a happy user of tunlr till yesterday when they decided to stop
support for netflix. I understand them creating limited viewing time for
their users but dropping a service altogether is unacceptable :(

I went back to unotelly (same service but paid) and am happy with
them since. They also have some coupons for users coming from tunlr but I
couldn't make use of it because i already had a year long subscription.
But it might still help some other !
The coupon is: iheartnetflix

How is it unacceptable? Did you agree to some contract when using Tunlr or what? It's a free service.

I'm not saying that Tunlr is a bad service. I think that what those guys offer for free is great. The problem is that I used tunlr moslty for Netflix and that's why I'm dissapointed.

Well you can't blame them!
If the servers get over loaded automatically PCs get a serious damage!
Poor guys can't afford that!
You can use unblock-us.com there is a small trick to activate every week!
if you are smart think about it!

Nice work. I also saw your other change about cdn and port options. However, I'm afraid it might be a bit unnecessary. A user will never need to change these settings and they increase code complexity a lot.

I also just finished an improvement which decreases complexity to minimum. I want to show you a nice trick which I found out some time ago -- enums can be directly stored with XMLEncoder and directly used in a JComboBox without manually converting to ints or strings.

I also edited the plugin to only download from Akamai (because that's what the Hulu player applet does unless there's an error) and removed the codec option (I didn't find any videos where the same quality was available in different formats).

Do you think it's OK if we don't have options for cdn or port? The code is getting a bit difficult to read. smiling smiley

In this video : [www.hulu.com] , I found h264 and vp6 video format, I haven't tested many videos though.

For me port 80 doesn't work, 1935 does. I'm not sure if it is the same for others. I read a request in a thread months ago (I'm not sure if it was about hulu plugin or other plugin), that someone needs to use port 80 for rtmp, because port 1935 is blocked by his/her office. So the port chooser is just an anticipation for that.

As for cdn, I didn't know if akamai is the default (thanks for the info). So it's ok to remove the option.
