PBS plugin error

Hi awesome devs,

Happy New Year! Love your program...

I've encountered an error when trying to download a video at
[video.pbs.org]
and others...

The error message is "Error - No redirection location"

Here's the info from the log file:

That link works fine for me. Perhaps it was a temporary server error?

I am using a mac (OS10.6.8) with FR 0.9u3. Here are some links being accessed by FR while the download is being attempted...

urs.pbs.org
port: 80
protocol: 6

video.iptv.org
port: 80
protocol: 6

destination: 69.197.169.9
port: 53
protocol: 17

The link plays in the browser fine (after advert delay), but I still get the same error upon download attempt

tong2shot, any ideas? smiling smiley I guess we'll have to disable Tunlr for now...

Aw man, that's bad news.

I don't have any ideas. Yeah, I guess we'll have to disable Tunlr, unless there is similar free service (which I don't know any).

It's strange, late at night 10pm-4am Pacific, it downloads fine - but during daytime it doesn't function at all (24/7 it plays fine in the browser). Is that the Tunlr service you mentioned being weird?

As far as I can tell, you need to change the link provided from [video.pbs.org] to [video.pbs.org], parse the highest quality link from the redirect (either an rtmp or m3u8), download a rtmp stream or grab the m3u8 playlist and download the pieces in the playlist and concatenate them.

Not sure why Tunlr needs to be in there unless the videos are restricted to US only.

Yes, Tunlr being weird is the reason.

Some PBS videos are US only, which is why we use Tunlr. But Tunlr seems to be transitioning to a model where you need to register an account to use the service.

I disabled Tunlr for now. You can still use Tunlr manually if necessary if you follow the instructions on their site.
