BBC iPlayer - some programmes not downloading fully

Hi

There seems to be a problem with BBC iPlayer that I haven't seen before.

SOME but not all programmes posted in the last couple of days aren't downloading properly.
Only a tiny fraction of these programmes are coming down before the download is marked by FRD as COMPLETE.

Examples of the problem links:

[www.bbc.co.uk]

in those two links only about 260 KILObytes- each is being downloaded - a normal episode is over 700 MEGAbytes. This is despite the programmes playing normally in iPlayer.



As a comparison, an edition of the same programme from the day before still downloads properly:

If it helps to diagnose the problem, here are a couple of other comparison programmes - also new ones from the last couple of days - which are still downloading normally at present,

My FRD and the plug-ins are up to date.

BBC plugin v1.3.1 works fine for me, with this plugin settings:
Quality: 360p
RTMP port: 1935
CDN: either Akamai or Level3

I was able to download ~3MB from each problematic links as test.

Can you post your plugin settings?

I have the same problem. There is a BBC, Antiques Roadshow, which until today has downloaded perfectly with Quality - Highest available, RTMP=1935, CDN Akamai

This one fails repeatedly with only 0 bytes downloaded!

I have the same problem here ,too.
while downloading this
[www.bbc.co.uk]
after trying preferred qualities of 480p and 360p,the file stopped coming when it was 55m.
Hoping this can be taken care of .

Quality: Best Available
RTMP port: 1935
CDN: Akamai

Thanks for the reports. Please try plugin v1.4.0. The new plugin supports HDS, and HDS has higher priority than RTMP. I can't get RTMP works, but fortunately all samples that I tried support HDS.

Thanks for fixing it so quickly. I came back to this forum to find out what was happening when BBC downloads stopped working.

BTW, the BBC website says that users will have to log in to view "soon". I assume that another update will be needed then?
