BBC iPlayer

I've just tried to download a BBC iPlayer programme and the URL isn't being recognised by FreeRapid?

The following message comes up in the confirm popup when you try to load the URL - "Following URL(s) are not supported by download plugins."

Have the BBC now changed their service? I seem to remember they did a similar thing a couple of years ago, but a new plugin was launched very quickly to counter this, so is a new plugin being developed?

Hi there

I have just spotted this.

I have FRD 0.9u4 and bbc.co.uk 1.5.0

An example of fail is
[www.bbc.co.uk]

Many thanks

BBC iPlayer links are now by default using HTTPS protocol; I suspect current bbc.frd only supports non-secure, i.e. plain, links. bbc.frd is @tong2shot's child; we haven't heard from him in 4 months confused smiley
I imagine the transition to HTTPS will be a simple task for the one remaining active developer (@birchie), but if major breakage takes place (very probable with what's been going on lately over at the BBC), I fear things look bleak sad smiley
