channel4.com plugin not working

The Channel4 plugin has stopped working for some Channel4 programs (but not for others).
The file appears to download, but takes very little time and the filesize after downoad is 0 bytes.

An example of a program that will not now download is:-

Now all Channel 4 programs will not work.
The error message is different this time; it now says:-

ERROR - No string between " and " was found - attempt 1


I'd be really grateful if you could check this plugin because it no longer works.

The channel4.com plugin has stopped working for ALL channel4.com episodes, old & new. The link appears to coundown to download but once reach 0 then error message comes up with "ERROR - No string between " and " was found - attempt 1".

No 0kb size files are created within the download directory.

Thanks for reminding me and sorry for the delay. Plugin v1.0.7 should work at least for some links. Others don't work for two reasons:

- Channel 4 seems to use HTTP streaming for some videos. This would be great in terms of downloading, but the videos are split into hundreds of small parts, and on top of that the format seems very strange. These links are not supported by the plugin.

- For some videos, the RTMP server stops responding after FRD sends the play request. The download seems to start but no bytes are downloaded and it will error out after a few minutes. I've experienced this with other video sites too, and for now I don't know any solution for this.

Amazing! I wish I had a tiny fraction of your know-how. It's impressive.
Most C4 stuff now works again, a huge thank you; only a few programmes won't, like 'Homeland'.
Good luck finding a solution to the stumbling block stopping the plug-in working for all links.

It seems as if the plugin has stopped working altogether.

It is always returning the error message: "ERROR - This link is currently not supported by the plugin"
Is there any possible solution?

Nope, unfortunately FRD doesn't support this "Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming".
