send alerts to twitter?

I would like to see FD to send alerts to my twitter feed. (I use twitter mostly as machine updates", as opposed to social networking).

Would the programmers consider this?

Interesting idea, but I find it a bit marginal; not many people would find it useful. Unfortunately we have hardly any time for development at the moment. We have some kind of an event system on the relatively-short-term TODO list, which would make things like this easy.
