Welcome
I'm an amateur internet users in a fairly middle-older age, and my interest in the Internet due to ill health (do not leave the house and how much you can read books and watch TV). From time to time I try to download from the internet and lately I try to do it through a very good program in my opinion FreeRapid Downloader which is for me very approachable, easy to use, although its function is one I can not cope namely how to "Configure Proxy "to be able to download files through proxy servers. I have to attendees of that forum's request to clarify a word-tips to help you configure a proxy in the FRD because of my dilettantism please help, in a "step by step" for what the Much appreciated.

Greetings

Witam

Pozdrowienia

hi guys, just one question

When i configure a proxy list for FreeRapid, the text file must be like that?

[$SOCKS$][[:]@] // this line is necessary for free downloads?
200.96.53.4:8080
146.164.42.140:80
189.31.143.76:8080
200.96.113.234:8080
186.232.195.2:8080

I dont use accounts, thats why i dont put "user" or "password"
I can download with this format, but i am curious because i remember i has some problems when i wont put the "[$SOCKS$][[:]@]" line =/

I use [nntime.com] to get the proxy list =D

[$SOCKS$][[:]@]
it's just a pattern for SOCKS proxies.
See our tips & tricks how it should look like.

[$SOCKS$][[:]@] shouldn't be included in that file. Other info is correct.

And you have posted the answer with in the same Question
Public proxies gets released every day
Most of the companies find public proxies very easily
so they ban them every day!
So go and use some HTTPS Proxies!
Hard to find them!
But when you get them you can rock
Make sure you have anonymity on that proxies!

Hi,
I use my own SOCKS proxies, based on Mikrotik. [wiki.mikrotik.com]
I get error "Malformed reply from SOCKS server"
What version of protocol FreeRapid uses? [en.wikipedia.org]
Thanks in advance.

FRD utilizes Java's internal SOCKS handling, which should support both SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 and detect the appropriate version automatically.
