bugs/problems ?
May 06, 2006 02:14PM
I am using Wordrider 0.75 and I came upon problems :

- When I write text in small or large fonts and I want
to write an index or an exponent, when quit the exponent,
or index mode, the font size comes back to normal
font.
It would be more convenient if it came back to the
original font used.

- The automatic line feed adds sometime a space at the
begining of the line.

- In uview the index and exponant in small or large
fonts fonts are dispayed as normal small or large
letters.
When I save a text on wordrider I loose these index or
exponent properties.

- When I write a formula after a line in small fonts,
the formula is not dispayed.
I have to add a line in normal fonts to work around the problem.

- The accent in french (?©, ?±, ...) are not displayed on
uview for small fonts.

Best wishes.

Jim.

Hello Jim, I didn't notice your post. I am deeply sorry.

- When I write text in small or large fonts and I want

Yeah. You're right. The problem is that viewers use different behaviour againts eg. MS Word. I am not simply to able recognize from which font size it came from, because subscript style (exponent style) use MINI font size. I spent a few hours to find some workaround or some simple solution. Unfortunately I didn't find any at this time sad smiley.

- The automatic line feed adds sometime a space at the
begining of the line.

Can you be more specific please? Can you reproduce problem "step by step"?

- In uview the index and exponant in small or large
fonts fonts are dispayed as normal small or large
letters.
When I save a text on wordrider I loose these index or
exponent properties.

UView is compatible to TxtRider tags, which has less count of formatting tags. Subscript is supported only in Hibview.
Hibview has additional tags for #D : subscript, #J : conjugate, Mxxx : margin xxx pixels. These tags are removed during saving of files or they are converted to similar ones (subscript->mini font size).

- When I write a formula after a line in small fonts,
the formula is not dispayed.
I have to add a line in normal fonts to work around the problem.

I guess, that this is fixed in the latest version of uView. Please look at this page:[membres.lycos.fr]

- The accent in french (?©, ?±, ...) are not displayed on
uview for small fonts.

That's because calcs have small resolution of screens. It's not possible to view such small accents. No calc viewer supports it.

I hope that i helped you to solve at least one problem.

Thanks Vity for your answer.

As far as I understand the small fonts should not be used.

It's a long time since I posted the questions, so I don't remember exactly the sequence that made a problem. I will probably ask you the question again within a few months.

Do you still develop Word rider ?

Jim.

At this time I can say yes. I know it's a long time when i released last version of WordRider. I spent a last year working on Damaq.
I am currently working on the next version of WordRider. I will release an alpha version probably this night or tommorow. I guess it might be still a bit unstable, because
I made a lot of intern changes in this version (min JRE version will be 1.5). I will need testers! smiling smiley
Other major changes:
* Find/Replace dialog (see news on homepage)
* Sending files to calculator via Ti Connect or TiLP

I would also like to add a support for Notefolio into the final stable version.
