WordRider 0.8 alpha 3 preview released (*Updated*)

Hello everybody,
the next version of WordRider (after one year) is prepared for your testing and sending suggestions! This is just a build - it's not fully tested and it's intended for experienced users.

Here is a full list of changes I made (you can find it in the included file 'history.txt'):

11th November 2006 - WordRider 0.8alpha 3 preview - for testing purposes
Added : viewing editor identification in main frame title (text is optionable - Options->Misc)
Added : NoteFolio import - option to put breakpoint on the first line of every note (Options->Misc)
Changed : status bar code changed ->faster switching between editors
Added : support for importing plain text files
Added : ability to open more than 1 file at once from console (command line)

4th November 2006 - WordRider 0.8alpha 2 preview - for testing purposes
Changed: updated documentation in PDF
Added : new links to documentation and WordRider's website in WordRider main menu
Added : graphic welcome menu when no editor is opened
Added : importing TI NoteFolioâ„? Creator files (*.89y, *.9xy) + option for note separator (Options->Misc)
Changed : faster reading of text files (aprox. 15%)

23rd October 2006 - WordRider 0.8alpha preview
Added : new format functions (To Upper Case, To LowerCase, Capitalize, Invert Case, Trim Trailing Spaces)
Added : popup menu on right click on tabulator name - more possibilities how to close opened editors
Changed : improved bug error reporting/logging mechanism - fatal errors are logged to file (wordrider.log)
Changed : 'Image import dialog - importing image' - selection in the is moveable and blinks
Changed : 'Image import dialog - importing image' - key '+' for zooming in, key '-' for zooming out
Added : 'Find all' functionality - optionable searching over (all) opened documents
Added : Dialog and user options for sending files directly to calculator via TI Connect (TISendTo.exe)
or TiLP utility
Changed : 'Close All' renamed to 'Close All Editors'
Added : tooltip (hint) for items in Close/Sending files dialog
Added : support for Nimrod Look&Feel
Changed : code upgrade to Java 1.5 (Java 1.4 is no longer supported!) -> faster application
Changed : better conversion of unsupported characters into supported ones (eg. when you paste text from PDF)

!Important note!
I made a code upgrade to Java 1.5 (5.0) so Java 1.4 is no longer supported!.
*Topic update* - Java SE 6 was released. I recommend you to upgrade to this version.

This is an alpha version and it does not include support for other languages (only English is available).

Congratulation Vity for this new version.

It's much faster than the 0.75 version.
The transfer fonction works well on my Windows Me + TI connect + TI titanium. It's a great feature.

I tested also the linux version, that works fine too. I haven't tested the transfer on Linux since TIPL2 does not work yet on Linux for Titanium.
Can you add an icon for the KDE desktop ?

On the presentation screen the version is still 0.75. (sorry I haven't found any thing else wrong).

Can you give me some specification for the icon in KDE?. I'll ask Rusttaf to create it.
I'll fix the splash screen.

I also plan to release another build today or tommorow - I bundled other new features . Watch this forum .

The KDE icons are .xpm (xpixmap 32x32 pixels).

The "about screen" can also be updated with the 0.8 version.

WordRider 0.8 alpha 3 was released. This is last alpha build. I guess it's starting to be stable enough . This build brings some new features again. See the list of changes above.
I will release a beta version as soon as I get all translations from translators.

Hi Vity,

I came up with a small problem with version 0.8 alpha 3 (wibndows version)
When I cut a piece of text with the right click. It works.
But if I want to paste with the right click menu, the paste fonction cannot be accessed with the right click menu.
