Freerapid freezes randomly

For some reason my Freerapid 0.9u3 started freezing a few days ago. I tried redownloading it and updating JRE, nothing helped. However, I made a Win8 VM and Freerapid works in that. So that's my work around for now. If anyone knows how to fix it please help. Thanks.

It can be cause by many things and FRD is not necessary the cause.
Eg.: extremely long file list, slow disk file operations, any other application is taking CPU/RAM, not enough RAM + swapping...etc.

I have SSD, i7 2600k 4.6ghz, 16GB of ram, so I think those issues you mentioned is unlikely. I do have a very long file list though, but I downloaded a new version of Freerapid and it still freezes. Thanks.

So truncate the file list. FRD is designed to be used with approx. 100 links maximum.

I did. I deleted and re-downloaded the newest version, it's still doing the same thing.

The download list and history are stored in the configuration directory: [wordrider.net]

Try deleting that folder (backup it first if necessary) and see if it changes anything. If not, please attach the log file.

I just tried deleting the VitySoft folder in that directory, it fixed the freezing issue. Thanks.
