Downloads shutdown if surfing in Internet
October 17, 2013 11:15PM
I cope with a limitation at using FRD... The download process is broken when I have to access most of sites in Internet, it does not matter if I use Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Should I enable any option in the program's configuration? Or is it really a program limitation?

I will be very thankful if somebody helps me to solve this issue. And I present my apologies (in advance) for my broken English.

Thanks for your attention!

Best regards!

This doesn't happen to us. We can browse web sites normally even while downloading.

Is there something in your log file after an error? (Help > Open log file)

Thanks for your answer.
I will post the log error when it happens again.
Please do not close this topic for the time being.

Hi!
I got the problem again and I saved the log file, with the error.
I hope you may help me, because I need to work on the computer and downloads are broken if I use Internet.
Thanks!

Unfortunately this "java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out" error means a generic connection issue, which we can't do anything about.

The default timeout is 120 seconds, which should be enough for practically anything.

Thanks for your answer.
So, nothing can be done.
And it is a pity, because besides waiting 120 second to resume a download, some services understand that I will proceed a new download and I have to stand the waiting time -- sometimes a hour.
Anyway, thanks for everything!
Best regards!
