plugin download ERROR

I am a Mac OS X 10.5.7 user. I have downloaded the latest version of Freerapid(0.82) from its website. I run the program then click the "check for new plugins" inside the Help tab, program says "Good news everyone! Plugin updates were detected. What do you want to do?" I click Show details... to see the status of each plugin, then click Update, it says "dowloading new plugins..." however for each plugin then it says "ERROR: Read-only file system" and update fails, I end up not being able to download any of the plugins. Without plugins I can not run the program, I would very happy if anyone could help me out solving this problem.

Run it as administrator...

Sorry but I am already using my administrator account. How do I run a program as administrator?

I am not sure, this advice works on Win7.
I am not MacOS user..

Would this problem be fixed on the next release of Freerapid?

Can you tell me where to find the log file in Mac?

in the FRD's application folder - there is app.log
