FRD will not start

A few days ago I updated my Java, and now I can't start Free Rapid Download.

The error message I get when I try to run it is "Error: could not open 'C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_60\lib\i386\jvm.cfm' "

My curernt Java version is "8 Update 111".

Should I rollback to an earlier Java version, or is there a better fix?

Seems like an old Java version is somehow conflicting with the new one. You could try uninstalling all Java versions (from Control Panel) and then reinstalling the latest version.

Thanks. I will try that. The Java website claimed that I had removed all old versions, but there seems to be pieces lieft behind (including several versions of jvm.cfg). I will see if I can get rid of all Java versions with ccleaner or something, and then re-install the new one.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Java, and FRD is now working. Thanks again for your help.
