Can FRD replace general downloader?

Hello :)

I just pasted download link to FRD from regular site and it seems it can't handle that (FRD replies:no plugin)
Is there a way of using FRD as regular downloader?
If not is it hard to implement that either as plugin or built-in?
I mean can I throw my regular downloader and use FRD for all downloads?

No, FRD only does filesharing sites which require clicking and/or waiting and captchas, and support for direct downloads is not planned.
