How to make ReCaptcha readable (for Nitroflare, DataFile, etc)

I tested it with WinXP and Java 1.6, but unfortunately it does not work.

With nitroflare.com, I got the standard recaptcha window (the impossible one). Not the one that you posted at the beginning of this thread. I even tried to launch in -p (portable) mode. I done the updates and recaptcha.frp v1.1 appears during the update plugin summary (it does not appear in the list of the menu /options/plugins). Slimerjs folder is placed within /tools folder, unpacked from the .zip full version of 36Mb or so, following your indications. I do not have installed firefox. An excerpt of the log that comes running FRD with the -p attribute is the following. I notice that here Slimmerjs is mentioned with doube "m". Thanks for any feedback.

Please try plugin v1.1.2.

If it still doesn't work please consider to upgrade your Java to Java 8: [www.oracle.com] as we ceased to test FRD under Java 6.

@tong2shot done, congratulations!
At least with my specs (winXP, java 1.6).

The latest java is no longer XP compatible. But I tried initially java v.1.8 (another build) with the same FRD errors, as the one shown above. Now the updated recaptcha 1.1.2 has made FRD work at the first attempt (no java update needed!).

Yes, JRE 1.8 /Java 8 (now in version 8u65, released on Oct 20, 2015)
is NOT COMPATIBLE with WinXP (itself EOL'd by Microsoft).
However, previous JRE 1.7/Java 7 is the last major version with
WinXP (SP2+) compatibility, and it offers many
performance improvements (not to mention security patches)
over the deprecated JRE 1.6/Java 6 you are
currently running
If you are able to, you'd better update to JRE 1.7.0_80-b15
(Java 7up80), available from the Oracle Java Archive:

jre-7u80

Accept License Agreement & then download
"jre-7u80-windows-i586.exe"

Prior to updating, uninstall Java 6,
reboot, then purge your system from Java 6
leftovers (Google for that...), reboot again
and then proceed with a clean Java 7u80 installation.

Just my 2 eurocents...

in my desktop I do not have even installed java: I use the portable versions. I prefer always older versions, since I notice that with software there is a common pattern I don't like: any new version requires much more RAM and HDD space. (For instance WinXP: 1Gb max of HDD vs Win7 that needs 10Gb min, up to 25Gb max). But your info on java, put the matter in different perspectives. Thanks.

Moreover the portable java version I tried works in WinXp also in its v.1.8 (probably is not the latest built). With FRD however I did not find a way to make it work by placing the java portable folder in the same main FRD folder (usually it works giving it the name jre) or in a root above FRD placed in a folder called Common Files. I do not know if there is another trick.

Since the last time I checked, it would seem
that Oracle now force you to create an account

Portable Java versions, especially those in PAF format,
are tailored to work with other portable software in the same
format (PAF). So they would work with, say, Portable Firefox or
Portable Libre Office - but the catch is that the portable
launchers of those are configured to "identify" portable Java,
if properly installed alongside them...
FRD by default is not a portable app,
and even when called with the -p argument, it
most certainly is not in the PAF format; -p mainly
relocates plugins/user settings inside the main FRD
folder - the app still requires Java to be installed
on the host computer.

there's no mention of portable Java support.
One of the devs may pop in here to comment
whether it's at all possible to use portable Java
with FRD, but waiting for that, here's one thing to try:

Place the portable Java folder as close to FRD's
main folder as you like; inside the latter exists a
batch file named "frd.bat"

start javaw.exe -Xmx192m -jar frd.jar

Provide full path to the "javaw.exe" executable

are about to be written by Java...

NOT TESTED, as I have an installed Java version...

Java itself does not use the registry or spill into any configuration directories (such as AppData) – the only registry entries written during setup are for file associations and the browser plugin, both of which are unnecessary for FRD. If you install the JRE, copy the installed files from Program Files somewhere else, and then uninstall the JRE again, you can use Java without having it "installed". You will, however, have to launch FRD using frd.bat as instructed above.

However, the windows installer of Java 32bit
(e.g. jre-7u80-windows-i586.exe)
during setup DOES CREATE a directory
inside AppData

%HOMEPATH%\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java

with subdirectories that contain java settings
and installer backups (in the form of .msi+.cab files);
another directory is created within %APPDATA%

%APPDATA%\Oracle\Java

but with very small size...

Just an update on how it works: I did not have any problem with nitroflare.com. I can see the opening and few seconds later the disappearing of the Slimerjs' window when recaptcha comes up, followed by the FRD recaptcha window with comprensible numbers to type.

So many thanks again to Tong2shot: great job!

Thanks also to TVjunkie and others for your Java suggestions. In my settings Java puts stuff on System32 (three exe, one dll, and another cpl), in addition to Application data and registry. It even puts the java-updater in the startup programs! That's why I prefer portables.

Those are not necessary. You can run Java programs fine with just the JRE files from Program Files.
