The CDN which is used in your country (akamai) seems to have few servers down.

I just released plugin v1.1.14 to get more info into the log. Please run FRD in debug mode, see point #5 of "Troubleshooting" section of this page.

Or as an experiment maybe you can change your DNS to google's (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4).

Incidentally, I tried the URL in the log in Firefox
and it also produces over here a similar error,
but this is surely because the token in the URL
has expired...

Why would Firefox behave differently to FRD?
This is probably some issue with his local
install of FRD and/or Java (and possibly
Internet Security Suite related?).

I suspected an SSL certificates issue, since I have
manually installed
Unlimited Strength Java(TM) Cryptography Extension Policy Files
for the Java(TM) Platform, Standard Edition Runtime Environment 8;
those are not included by default
in the windows installer of JRE 8u101
(this is the version run by OP), however
I ran some tests last night and I am still
able to fetch facebook clips even without
the UnlimitedJCEPolicyJDK8 files (???).

Googling for

SEVERE: Status code je 500

that appears in the logs also yielded:
[wordrider.net]
maybe related, maybe not
This is turning into a mystery, ain't it?

Hints:
If you are starting FRD.exe from a shortcut
(e.g. on your desktop), locate that shortcut,
right-click it and from the context menu
choose "Properties" (all the way down...).
"Properties" should open in the "Shortcut" tab;
in the "Target" input field append " --debug"
after frd.exe:

"path-to\frd.exe" => "path-to\frd.exe --debug"

Click "Apply" and "OK".
Start FRD from this debug shortcut and then
generate and save app.log as instructed previously...

I have sent you new example with app.log file in Private Messages!

Please, DON'T DO THAT and cease

I am not an actual FRD developer, just an FRD user
like you, albeit a slightly advanced one, that likes
to occasionally volunteer for help
when time and knowledge permit

Besides that, there is a limited team of
active devs currently who, no doubt, have
real life, real problems and also offer assistance
here without getting paid and at a time they see
fit - being a "pushy" forum user is not
a way to have your issue fixed any sooner

your "mystery" issue) in another thread:

Instead of acknowledging this, you kept sending PMs...

No-one else has come up with
an issue similar to yours, so
resolving this is quite hard
when a dev can't reproduce!

The download/video URL varies according to geo-location. I tested with Tor Browser using Egypt (the closest country to Tunisia which has functional tor exit nodes) as exit node. And it produces different video/download URL than my vanila browser.

I suspected that it's server issue, and facebook provides secondary source, which in this case is functional (can be played in browser by @moinebs). That's why I needed additional info (page source) in the log.

becouse i do not understand the programming for that reason i m fearing that the file contains things may infringe on my privacy. & I don't want public to see my shared file.
