problems with file monster's patch

HI,i know this is a dumb question,but i saw in a topic a patch to fix file monster and other websites,i downloaded it,it was a .diff file i dont know how to apply it to the plugin.
i got it from this thread:Oron.com & hotfile.com not working
codeboy2k uploaded it,so please help me with this.

It would involve getting checking out the SVN, applying the patch, and compiling... something quite involved.

Where is the thread you found the patch in and how old is it? I don't remember it.

it is in may 08 2010 and sry 4 asking but what is svn? i know i am a little dumb

If you don't know what it is, then you probably can't use the fix.

Could you post a link to the thread so I can take a look at it and possibly release a fixed plugin?

That patch does not fix the current problems with the plugin. It was a fix for a ReCaptcha issue, which has been released for a long while now.

but i have a problem it says: Error file name not found,what can i do to fix this

You can do nothing with it, the plugin is broken at the moment.

Nope. There were some major issues with it IIRC, but I'm not sure.
