No, it's not. It's a false positive. They are simply amateurs. [www.ngohq.com]

Thanks.

The article your link points to is from February 28th, 2011. A little outdated, I would say. Plus it doesn't say anything decisive, just a collection of various opinions.
Anyway, I'm done with this discussion. If you want to have the last word, no problem. Enjoy.

Yeah, that's the correct way to win an argument...

The old problem with ESET is that it blocks FRD due to the fact that we use local sockets for the "allow only one instance" feature. Local sockets are a perfectly legitimate method of interprocess communication. The workaround on our part is to disable the "one instance" feature if ESET is detected. This problem has existed since FRD v0.65 and the automatic workaround was implemented in v0.8.

Now, there's this new problem which we haven't seen before. It is apparently related to the database system which we use for download list and history storage since FRD v0.9. I guess we could try to debug it further, but it's a lot of work for us trying to workaround a broken 3rd party program, and the issue only affects a fraction of our users.

So it means they are not able to do it again?

I am having the same problem as wasa33 on new version, but on your last version 0.86 I did not get the problem at all. All the undownloads are not gone on your last version(with Eset antivirus). Any ideas why so???? Thanks.

Because you are using ESET which interferes with the database.

Thanks, sorry to ask.

Btw, you say that ESET is crappy av.
What about Avast? I have same issue like our friends who use ESET.

All antivirus programs just slow down your computer.
Use original software, no cracks and if you need to test something then use online checkers like
[virusscan.jotti.org]
You cannot be always sure with a result of 1 program.
What you really need is a firewall and this one is the best [personalfirewall.comodo.com] .

I think it is a Java issue, the list gets emptied when Java v7 is installed. Always saved if Java v6 is installed.
