To pick up where we left the answer is yes, i already have tried that but i did it casual, i'm gonna endeavor once more with a Ccleaning and a revo uninstaller inspection before re install and rolling again and i'll keep u aware (like jean claude vandamme).

When i came back earlier and boot, FRD gave me a fatal error at startup and i just had 3 more while writing this but it is still workin !, no freezing or window going black. Must be new years eve magic !
Happy new year everyone !

I mistakenly added a YouTube link [www.youtube.com] which has a
Very LONG File Name in Malayalam font.
Now I get the same old pop-up "Fatal error".

I don't like to delete "frd.odb" because it contains several needed links now.

How can open 'frd.odb' and delete the problem making link?

@Rose27 - download [www.objectdb.com] and run ObjectDb explorer, find your problematic link and remove it from the db

@rose27: alternatively you can enable "Horizontal Scroll" for the table, and adjust the "Name" column width as long as you need.

This problem is fixed in the latest version of Java. The easiest solution is to update to 7u45.

I know this because I just tried it!

@ tong2shot,

I couldn't lengthen the "Name" column when the error pop-up once appeared.
When I tried to close the pop-up, 2 or more of them appeared.
After seeing your post, I closed Frd from system tray and again launched.
Now, before appearing the error pop-up, I in haste stretched the "Name" column.
Now it is OK. Thanks.
I tested "Horizontal Scroll" as you told, what a great feature!

@ Vity,

Downloaded 'objectdb-2.5.4.zip' and extracted it.
In the"bin" folder, I found 'explorer'.
When clicked, it was opened and I saw "cz.vity.freerapid.model.DownloadFile".
I selected it and clicked the icon 'Open Embedded' and a new window opened.
But I couldn't find links in it for editing (deleting).

@ ntoskrnl,

I don't think, the problem is fixed in the latest version of Java 7u45
because I was using Java 7u45 when I started this thread.
Now I am using Java 8 (b115) as you directed.

I like to express my THANKS to you all 3 who provides instant HELP!

Okay, I tried it again in a Windows XP virtual machine, but this time I "wiggled" the Name column a bit, and sure enough, it crashed. So it doesn't seem to be fixed in Java 7u45 after all.

But on my main machine, Windows 8 with Java 8 (b121), it works fine. @rose27, are you saying it doesn't work for you with Java 8?

I have installed Java 8 but the Error Pop-up appears when I load a Url with longer file name (with certain fonts) than the "Name" column length.
(Remember that, I am using P3, 730 MHz, 384 MB Ram system with Win XP2 installed).

The main frame UI settings is saved in "mainFrame.session.xml" file, you can find it in config directory. In my "mainFrame.session.xml" file, the "Name" column index is 1, so if I need to lengthen the "Name" column, I set the first 2 "< int >" values for that index to reasonable number, for instance : previously it is 400, now I need to make it to 600. Make sure you backup the file, before making any changes.
