[Solved] Unable to install FRD on MacOS

i appologise now if there is already a topic on this, but from my check i cudnt find it .


i have an i mac running leopard with the most up to date version of java.

i previously had insalled FRD 1.83, but because i wanted to use FRD for mediafire i thought i should Dl the new one..
any way, i downloaded the file from the homepage section.... and unzipped it ... when i clicked the frd.jar, nothing happened initialy , however eventually (about 2-4 mins later)
the java JAR file frd.jar could not be launched please check the consol for possible errors but when i chekced the consol,(im not sure if this is thr right message but it seems to be th only releveant 1 )

Check your Java version, if it's properly installed

java --version

well just did a system update check .. and java is fully updated
even so i reinstalled update 8 for 10.5 the most recent update for leopard

well its still not working ...

As I said, check your java version using that command. You need Sun Java 1.6 .

v 1.5 is at least 8 years old
As you can read in the documentation section [wordrider.net], 1.6 version is required
