why isn't the plugin status page updated regularly?

I know that the filefactory plugin has been broken for almost a week, and the rapidshare plugin has been broken for two days. I also know that a moderator locked the rapidshare topic in the plugin forum, so somebody's here. why isn't the status page that the program itself links to updated to show that there are problems with those two plugins?

I can understand it being out of date with a zero-hour change, but not several days afterward.

I'm just curious on how often that page actually gets updated. Is it a once-a-week thing, once a month, or is there no set schedule?

I went to follow the procedure for reporting problems with both of these plugins, but found that others had beaten me to the punch in reporting all the pertinent details, so I just made a "me too" confirmation post to show it wasn't an isolated incident. What else should I do?

I just want to clarify something as I realized I let my frustration show a little into the tone of my message.

I can understand it taking time to figure out how to fix the plugins, I was just wondering why the status page wasn't updated in a more timely manner. I don't really consider myself much of a programmer, but I originally wanted to be one when I first started college and have had some classes. I understand the issue with tracking down problems and the like.

What I don't understand is why the status page doesn't get updated when somebody is clearly minding the forums. That was pretty much all I wanted to know, what the deal with that page was.

I apologize if my previous post came across as rude or impolite. I've been under a lot of stress, and was just a little frustrated.

Seems to work for me?

Anyway, the status info is just that, a status info indicator. We update it manually. Sometimes we don't bother doing it all the time, as it doesn't matter much.

As for why so many plugins are broken, we don't have enough developers or time to keep all plugins working.

I am coming back though, so hopefully (for a bit at least, as long as I can find some time haha....sad smiley) that will get a bit easier! So you want filefactory and rapidshare???
