Java related issue - FreeRapid does not work after Java update

Hi,

I have just updated from Java 6 Update 29 to Java SE 6 Update 31 and it is not possible to start the FreeRapid anymore. It worked OK before the update. Is there a fix for that? Or should I go back to Java SE 6 Update 29? I would like to avoid the downgrade because of security... My OS is Win7 64-bit.

And what about the Java SE 7u3? Has anyone tried it with FreeRapid?

Thanks, I will try JRE7u3 tomorrow. I hope this will solve my issue with Java SE 6 Update 31.

Finally success! Java JRE7u3 works fine. Java 6 Update 29 worked fine too. So it seems that the problem was Java SE 6 Update 31 in my system (64bit Win7).

I just tested FRD on Java 6 Update 31 (on Windows XP) and it works fine.

FRD does not work With JRE 7 update 5... It opens, but it is all - FRD does not respond .

Reinstall your JRE. FRD works fine on Win7x64/JRE7u4.

Maybe it works with J7u4, but not with J7u5. Just spent a day fiddling with my router and firewall, pulling my hair out and getting read timeouts after a few seconds of downloading, bitstream errors 102 etc., unable to download anything. (apart from downloading, the rest of the app seemed to be working hehe)
Uninstalling J7 and going to J6u33 fixed downloads instantly, no problems whatsoever. Finally!
Both JVMs were 64bit btw, downloading from Uloz.to, Win7x64
