Java related issue - FreeRapid does not work after Java update

Just uninstall JRE6 , restart computer, install JDK7 again. It works fine on J7u5 fine as well.

Sorry but it doesn't works correctly for me. Stops after some first bytes. Only downloading of plugins update works.

The only thing/problem I see is a server read error, also check you have enabled default connection in User preferences dialog.

Yes, I have. The only difference was, that I have been changed only Java Machine. Before change, FRD works, after change no. Uninstall, reinstall, nothing helps.
I have been reclicked this again. I must use different link, because of timeout. Always is downloaded only some more than 10kB, after this nothing is downloaded.

I had to re-install Java also .. couple of days ago..
So possibly new version of it now..
Not sure if that's the problem or not .. but all day long i CAN NOT download anylong with FRD :(

Try any link, any filehoster .. It starts to download .. and then it stops.. lags down to speed = 0 basically and dies..
Sometimes can d/l couple of MB at the most .. sometimes only few KBs .. and it DIES ..

What gives .. please help!

Just checked my Java vesion .. - i have, right now: Java Version 1.7.0_05 from Oracle Corporation

not sure which one i had before...

Also, pretty sure a day or two ago .. something told me .. (very possibly, but not sure 100% now, i was busy at the time) that FRD had something .. like malware or some danger .. or whatever .. and told me .. "do you want to block it or allow" .. - so of course i said: "Allow" or something like that ...

That's al.. but didn't have a need to d/l until today .. and i get what described above :(
Maybe i should try to reinstall my Java .. don't know.. might give it a try.....

Let me know any ideas.. (and at least i am not the only one with this) ..
I don't use any proxies by the way ... and before this .. FRD ALWAYS run OK .. never a problem!

OK .. It's like this .. - and please advice what you recommend or any suggestions..

As i was saying above.. - i was having troubles .. - didn't want to d/l

So i went to Java.. - it told me i have Java 7_5 (as mentioned above)

but it told me i have some old versons also .. and best to delete those.. - so i looked and i had like 6_5, 6_6, 6_7 and 6_33 installed .. plus had this new 7_5 also of course...

So i remvoed 6_5, 6_6, 6_7 .. but 6_33 had a newever date on it (like June 2012 or something) ... so i figured, for now i ll keep it..
So was left with 7_5 and 6_33 installed.
Went back to Java.. - they didn't say any more to remove older ones.. (maybe 6_33 is newer also then .. don't know)

Started FRD .. - tried some link and same thing .. NO GO :(

Then i started to think .. and i know i installed some new java 2 days ago .. must be 7_5 one...
SO i figured.. let me try to UNINSTALL 7_5 and see what happens.. - not a big deal.. - can always intall it back..

Uninstalled 7_5 .... started FRD .. tried link at Narod .. - NO PROBLEM :)
Working GOOD
.. tried some link at Depositfiles .. - NO PROBLME .. working good!

So the problem for me was this new 7_5 ..

I went back to Java.. checked my Java ..and they are telling me Congrats .. you have recommended 6_33 version (or something like that)

I have Windows Vista .. 32 bit ...

So what gives then?? .. Is 6_33 OK then? .. Can i use it .. or better to be on 7_5?

and if best to be on 7_5 .. what do i do so my FRD works then? :)

Thinking back.. maybe it was Java (7_5) after it's install telling me that FRD had some security problem etc?? .. can't recall..
Even though i "allowed" .. - maye it did something anyhow.. blocked something .. don't know...

I bet if person above my post goes to 6_33 or whatever .. his / her FRD is going to work OK again.. TRY It anyhow..

TO the author of FRD .. ANY Suggestions what to do ? ... any recommendations?

Why i upgraded Java few days ago.. - some place on the net wasn't working properly .. their service.. and i was trying this and that .. including Java upgrade..
Turned out to be THEIR fault.. that place fault.and they fixed the problem .. so it wasn't my system ..
So i upgraded to new Java 7_5 because of this.. :)
Otherwise i probably would not..
I don't even know when was last time i upgraded my Java.. - i guess June 2012.. (to this 6_33). .. but i don't recall .. - it probably did on it's own. .and i allowed it..
Not a Java expert .. so i don't bother with it.. - generally if my computer works - it's GOOD enough for me, lol..
SO i upgrade my Java generally .. either automatic upgrade or when really NEEDED or desperate :)

Please letme know anything anyhow :)

Maybe i didn't intall it properly .. (even though Java site told me my java 7_5 was OK) .. - or maybe i have some other problems / conflicts on my computer that didn't like this Java 7_5, but like 6_33?

or maybe as i said Java 7_5 simply didn't like FRD on my computer for some reason..
